Who we are
Habitual Strength is led by two dedicated coaches, Riley and Melissa, who bring over ten years of experience in the fitness industry. Both are competitive powerlifters with athletic backgrounds in volleyball, track and field, soccer, and softball. When they’re not coaching in person, they’re actively involved in the local powerlifting community—frequently volunteering as judges, spotters, and loaders at competitions.

Coach
Riley has been a strength coach for eight years and is an ISSA Certified Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In addition, she is certified as a Pre & Post Natal Coach and a Menopause Coaching Specialist. Riley believes in intentional training and focuses on strong communication between her clients. From beginner to experienced, all lifters are welcome on her team. She is also a seasoned powerlifter with International Elite totals in three weight classes.

Coach
Melissa has coached a variety of strength athletes and general fitness clients both in person and online over the past seven years. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Pre-Script Level 1, Precision Nutrition Level 1, and Hyrox Certified Coach. She prides herself on creating a safe and constructive space for clients of all levels. She is also a competitive powerlifter who has achieved international elite totals across four separate weight classes.
